The garden is full ofgracious furnishings like the sundial seen in Fig. 45. Fromwhatever point of view the building is seen, the tallchimneys of moulded brick group in romantic fashionwith bold bays, broad overhanging eaves and greatstretches of mullioned windows. Entering through the porch thevisitor finds a long vestibule, at the right-hand end of whichis the main staircase. To the left are openings to the.big hall(Fig. 46).
