Summary

Description
English: Glen Avon at Inchrory. Still confined within the sides of the glaciated valley, the Avon nonetheless is eroding both sides of the valley. This spot was once thought to be an example of 'river capture', as the river Don's source is not far to the east (right). Later geographical wisdom suggested glaciers had changed the west to east alignment just before this spot to a south to north one.
