English: Bourn, High Street 2008 An attempt to recreate "Bourn, High Street c1955" http://www.francisfrith.com/search/england/cambridgeshire/bourn/photos/bourn_B713007.htm in the Frith collection, but the Frith photographer seems to have been on the top deck of a bus! The main building on the left, now The Willow Tree, was The Golden Lion in 1955 - a lion can be seen in the sign on the right. The building with the triple window on the left is called The Old Grain Store. |
