Description
Andrea della Robbia's Adoration of the Magi is an altarpiece depicting the three wise men with their attendants, offering gifts to the Holy Family. In the sky above are two angels carrying the Star of Bethlehem. The coat of arms of the Albizzi family appear on either end of the base.
Date circa 1500–1510.

  • Circa 1500–1510: Manufactured in Italy; probably commissioned for the church of San Michele or San Andrea at Rovezzano, which were under the patronage of the Albizzi family at the end of the 15th century.
