Summary

Description
English: Flood plaque, Goldcliff Parish Church, Goldcliff, Newport, Wales. This plaque marks the height of a flood of approximately 5 feet that occurred on the 20th January 1606 (modern calendar 30th January 1607). One theory is that it was caused by a tsunami. Apparently the financial loss was more important than the loss of twenty two lives.
