Carlin's Cairn is a hill on the great ridge of the Galloway Hills known as the Rhinns of Kells. It reaches 2,650 feet and its summit stands less than a mile north of that of Corserine, the highest of the Rhinns.

Even more than Corserine, Carlin's Cairn is a very steep peak, with crags scarring its eastern flank.
