Meier Point
(Redirected from Cape Meier)
Meier Point is the west entrance point of Norway Bight on the south coast of Coronation Island amongst the South Orkney Islands in the British Antarctic Territory.
The point was charted by Sørlle 1912-13, and named Cape Meier, possibly and incorrectly after J. Miers (from whom Miers Bluff is named). The point was recharted by Discovery Investigations in 1933. It was named Meier Point following a survey by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Signy in 1956-58.
