Edgarhope Wood, Berwickshire

The Sir Walter Scott Way is a long distance path in the Middle Shires, picking its way through the shires of Dumfries, Peebles, Selkirk, Roxburgh and Berwick. It was created in memory of Sir Walter Scott, of one of the greatest of the romantic writers.

The Way

The Sir Walter Scott Way runs from Moffat in Dumfriesshire to Cockburnspath in Berwickshire, entirely following a portion of the Southern Upland Way, except at Selkirk, where there is an optional section down to the town, and from there using the Borders Abbeys Way to rejoin.
