The Rogie Falls thunder over a jumble of rocks in Easter Ross on the Black Water, in the south-east of Ross-shire. Here in a series of cascades the river drops from the hills into Strathconon (where after several miles it enters the River Conon).
The falls are found a mile and a half north-west of the village of Contin, next to the A835 road, and as they are accessible they are a popular tourist attraction, with several forest walks provide through the woods here.
A footbridge crosses the river's gorge just below the falls
A fish-ladder scales the incline to byoass the falls, to allow salmon runs.
