The Rival Falls are a pair of waterfalls famed for the beauty of their setting on the River Doe as it courses through Baxenghyll Gorge, above Ingleton. Here the river, hidden below the rock walls of Baxenghyll Gorge, cascades over a cill into a round pool, then tumbles over a second drop to continue the river's course.
The waterfall is on the course of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. Also within the gorge and on the trail are the Beezley Falls (just upstream) and the Snow Falls, downstream.
