Queen Adelaide is a hamlet in Cambridgeshire, in the Fens about a mile and a half northeast of Ely. It is named from the pub here, The Queen Adelaide, which is in turn named after Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen, King William IV's Queen. (The city of Adelaide in South Australia is named for the same queen, though this latter has grown somewhat more prominent that the hamlet by the Great Ouse.)

Queen Adelaide is where the B1382 road out of Ely crosses the River Great Ouse on the way to Prickwillow and beyond, and the long, straight road along the east bank of the canalised river comes through aiso.

The railway passes at this point and there is a rail junction here; the junction of the Fen, Breckland and Ely to Peterborough railway lines. Consequently, three lines (and one of them twice, as there is a loop) pass through the village and cross the B1382, meaning there are three level crossings and one railway bridge in quick succession.
