Paston is an ancient parish in the Soke of Peterborough of Northamptonshire that forms a suburb of the city. The area was mainly built-up and developed in the 1970s and 1980s. Before the Peterborough Development Corporation acquired Paston Ridings in 1974, by use of Section 22 of the Commons Act 1899, everyone had right of access to the common land comprising approximately 20 acres.
The parish church of All Saints' Paston celebrated its 790th birthday in 2007.
Paston Ridings County Primary School has been in existence since 1994 and is an amalgamation of the former Infant and Junior Schools. It has its own swimming pool and substantial grounds.
