Ogmore Hundred

Ogmore Hundred shown within Glamorgan

The Ogmore Hundred is one of the hundreds of Glamorgan, in the south of the county. The hundred comprises much of the basin of the River Ogmore, particularly of the eastern side. There is a detached part consisting of the ancient parishes of Llangeinor and Llandyfodwg and hamlet of Ynysawdre which lies to the north-west of the main body; this part is surrounded by the hundreds of Neath, Miskin and Newcastle. The main body lies between the hundreds of Cowbridge to the east and Newcastle to the west. It is the least populous of Glamorgan's hundreds with a population of 23,698.

It contains the following ancient parishes:

• Ewenny
• Llandyfodwg (in det. part)
• Llandow
• Llangan
• Llangeinor (in det. part)
• Marcross
• Merthyr Mawr
• Monknash
• Penllyn
• St Andrews Minor
• St Brides Major
• St Donats
• St Mary Hill (less the hamlet of Rythin)
• Wick

Plus the hamlet of Ynysawdre in the ancient parish of St Brides Minor.
