Looking down on the A428

The Madingley Hills rise in Cambridgeshire, to the west of the City of Cambridge. These are not a grand range of hills but a gentle rise between the meadows of the River Cam and the Rhee to the east and south and the flat lands to the west and north that merge into the Great Fen. The village of Madingley is amongst the hills it names.

No particular hill is noteworthy here. The trig point to the south of Madingley, towards Coton marks a summit height of 203 feet above sea level.
