History
Information

The M9 Forth Bridge carries the M9 motorway due north across the River Forth just north-west of Stirling. Here both banks of the river are in Stirlingshire. The bridge was built in 1971.

The bridge has no official name, being labelled on motorway documents simply as 'Forth'. (The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historic Monuments of Scotland calls the motorway bridge the 'Old Mills Farm Motorway Bridge' because it crosses the river by Old Mills Farm.)[1]

Beside the bridge, immediately downstream, is a footbridge, known as the Old Mills Farm Footbridge.
