Loch Mugdale

Loch Migdale is a modestly sized freshwater loch covering a square mile near Bonar Bridge, in Sutherland. The loch lies in the very southernmost extent of the county, just to the north of the Dornoch Firth.

The loch contains a crannog dating from the Iron Age; a manmade island created as a defensible homestead.[1]
