Llangovan is a village and ancient parish south-east of Raglan in Monmouthshire. It forms part of the Raglan Hundred. It is close to Monmouth, the county town and is set in a quiet, rural area of rolling hills beneath the Trellech ridge.
The small village church, dedicated to St Govan, is a Grade II* Listed Building.[1] It is now closed and has a colony of bats.[2][3] The churchyard contains an ornate mediæval stone cross[4] which is a Grade II listed building.[5]
Nearby Court St. Lawrence, once home of Sir Geoffrey David Inkin, the erstwhile High Sheriff, is also a Grade II listed building.[6]
In 2007 Penyclawdd and Llangovan Village Hall was completely refurbished.[7]
