Hume is a hamlet in Berwickshire, on the B6364 seven miles from Kelso in Roxburghshire. It stands alone, in a skein of lanes with no villages close by. The nearest villages, hamlets are Brotherstone Hill, Smailholm, Smailholm Tower, Floors Castle, Stichill, Lambden, Nenthorn, Ednam, Birgham and Gordon.

Hume Castle

The village is best known for Hume Castle, around which the village of Hume has grown.
