Helme is a small village in the West Riding of Yorkshire, just north of the little town of Meltham. It was recorded in the 19th century as part of the Parish of Almondbury.[1] To the north is the Blackmoorfoot Reservoir, whose outflow runs by the village.

Nearby Helme Hall, built in the late 19th century, is now a nursing and residential home for the elderly.
