Greyfriars' Cloisters

Greyfriars' Cloisters are the remains of a 13th-century friary in Great Yarmouth in Norfolk. The priory was a house of Franciscan monks, known as the 'grey friars' from their habits.

The friary was dissolved at the Reformation and later the buildings were converted into a number of Row dwellings typical of the town, such as those known as the Great Yarmouth Row Houses. Like the Row Houses, Greyfriars' Cloisters are in the care of English Heritage.

Traces of the interior features of the cloisters are visible, revealed by the wartime bombing, on the walls of the cloister and church.
