Great Barnfield Hundred, shown within the Lathe of Scray and Kent

Great Barnfield or East Barnfield is a hundred of Kent that forms part of the Lathe of Scray.

The hundred consists solely of the western portion of the ancient parish of Hawkhurst, extending to some 6,500 acres in extent. In this part of Kent the hundreds are very small, and frequently their bounds incorporate only parts of parishes. This is especially true of East Barnfield, which only incorporates a part of a single parish, and its neighbour West Barnfield, which similarly only includes part of Goudhurst.
