Gilmonby is a village in the Pennines, within the North Riding of Yorkshire.

The village is to be found a short distance south of Bowes, on the south bank of the River Greta, a tributary of the county's northern border river, the Tees. The nearest town is Barnard Castle, across the Tees in County Durham.
