Summary

Description
English: St Catherine's Island, Tenby Taken from the ferry to Caldey Island. The building on the island was a fort built in 1868-70 to defend Milford Haven from a French threat that came to naught. It was sold to the Windsor Richards family in 1914, and was converted to a house. The last use was as a zoo. It has been derelict for years, as the asking price is too great considering the work needed for refurbishment. The lack of a bridge to the mainland has always been a deterrent.
