Elvet Hundred is one of the hundreds of Carmarthenshire, located in the north-west of the county, adjacent to the borders with Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire. It is bounded to the west by Pembrokeshire; to the north by Carmarthenshire; to the north-east by Cathinog; to the south-east by Iscennen; to the south by Kidwelly Hundred; and to the south-west by Derllys. Including the county town, Carmarthen, it had a population of 26,943 in 2011.
It comprises the following ancient parishes:
