Eldernell is a tiny fenland hamlet in Cambridgeshire, just north of Coates.
It is on a lane which is a dead-end to general traffic, a lane running north of the A605 Peterborough road. The lane stops at Eldernell and Morton's Leam, a long drainage ditch parallel to the current course of the River Nene, and continues as a drove way / track over the leam to the fields between the leam and the Nene – the Nene Washes.
The route of an ancient Roman Road, the Fen Causeway, passes through Eldernell.
