East Hyde is a hamlet in Bedfordshire, on the east side of the River Lea, which here forms the county’s border with Hertfordshire.
The hamlet is on the B653 road, between Luton and Harpenden. The Lea is a little, pretty river here, barely sprung from its spring in nearby Luton, and a bridge crosses it at East Hyde.
