In the village
There is one government school in the town: Morris Vanterpool Primary School. There is no secondary school outside the capital.
East End however was the site of Anguilla’s first public primary school, built in 1917, and the schoolhouse, which survived many hurricanes, stands today as a heritage building the Old East End School, which is in the care of the Anguilla National Trust.
