Dog Island is the northernmost of the Straggle Islands of the Graham Coast in the British Antarctic Territory, and forms the north-east entrance point of Harrison Passage.
The island was photographed from the air by the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition and surveyed from the ground by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from "Prospect Point", 1956-57. It is so named in association with Cat Island (one of the Biscoe Islands), which it faces across the passage.
