Devynnock or Defynnog is one of the hundreds of Brecknockshire, adjacent to the borders with Glamorgan and Carmarthenshire. It is situated in the south-west of the county, bounded to the north by Merthyr Hundred; to the east by Penkelly Hundred; to the south by Glamorgan; to the west by Carmarthenshire. Including those parts of Brecon south of the River Usk, it had a population of 17,353 in 2011.
It comprises the ancient parishes of:
- Brecon St David
- Christ College (ex. par.)
- Defynnog
- Llanspyddid
- Llywel
- Penderyn
- Ystradfellte
- Ystradgynlais
