Cumbers Reef lies off the west coast of Adelaide Island, and forms part of the smaller group known as the Amiot Islands.

The reef was charted by a Royal Navy Hydrographic Survey Unit from HMS Protector in 1963. It was named after Roger Neil Cumbers (b.1939), Third Officer in John Biscoe, 1961-63, who assisted in the survey.
