Croxton is a village in Lindsey, Lincolnshire's northern part, standing just south from the A180, a mile north-west of Kirmington and seven miles west of the Port of Immingham.
The 2011 census noted a population here of less than 100.
The parish church, St John The Evangelist is of the 13th century: it has 13th century north arcade, early 14th century tower, 15th century tower parapet, and it is mainly built in the Early English Gothic style. The church was restored by James Fowler of Louth in 1876.[1] The church is a Grade II* listed building.[2]
Within the parish are the earthworks of an ancient univallate fort, Yarborough Camp, where Roman coins have been found.
