Crawfordjohn

Crawfordjohn is a small village and parish in southern Lanarkshire adjacent to the borders with Dumfriesshire and Ayrshire. The village is three miles west of Abington and seven north-east of Leadhills, near junction 13 of the M74. It lies to the north of the Duneaton Water, a tributary of the River Clyde. It is known for the manufacture of curling stones.

Adjacent parishes are Crawford to the south, Lamington and Wandel and Wiston and Roberton to the north-east, Douglas to the north, Auchinleck in Ayrshire to the west and Kirkconnel and Sanquhar in Dumfriesshire to the south.
