Bowcombe Down is a broad hill rising to 440 feet above sea level extending in a gentle ridge north-east to south-west between Carisbrooke and Bowcombe on the Isle of Wight in Hampshire.
The down is home to a listed historical site that contains a Bronze Age barrow and an Anglo-Saxon cemetery, which together are a scheduled ancoent monument.[1]
The start of the Tennyson Trail as it leaves Carisbrooke westwards climbs up Bowcombe Down.
