Bowbank is a little village in the North Riding of Yorkshire, on the B6276, sitting above the little dale of the River Lune as it falls into Teesdale at the county's northern edge.

The closest village of any size is Middleton-in-Teesdale on the north bank of the River Tees, across in County Durham.
