Information

Cupola Bridge is a Georgian bridge which crosses the River Allen in Northumberland, carrying the A686 over the river, after the road has taken a long, winding descent into the river's wooded gorge.

The bridge strides across the river on three segmental arches, the central taller, with round-ended cutwaters in the water. The bridge is a grade II listed structure.[1]

The Allen itself begins just upstream of the bridge, to the south of it, where the Rivers West Allen and the East Allen unite.
