Castle Hill is a manmade mound in Lincolnshire on which stood a castle in the Middle Ages. It was once a substantial motte and bailey, perhaps with a double bailey,[1] apparently associated with the then new town of Castle Carlton, seven miles south-east of Louth, between the villages of North and South Reston.
The castle was founded in the 12th century by Hugh Bardolf.
