Kirkby Green is a small village in Kesteven, the south-western part of Lincolnshire. The village lies east of Scopwick on the B1191 road to Timberland, ten miles south-east of the county town, the City of Lincoln, six and a half miles south-west of Woodhall Spa, and eight miles north of Sleaford.[1]
At the eastern end of the village is a level crossing where the road crosses the Peterborough to Lincoln Line, formerly the site of Scopwick and Timberland railway station.
