Bere Regis

Bere Regis is a village in the Bere Regis Hundred of Dorset, situated six miles north-west of Wareham.

The village has a parish church, St John the Baptist, one shop, a post office and two pubs, The Royal Oak and The Drax Arms. The village is listed in the Domesday Book of 1086. It features in Hardy’s Tess of the D'Urbervilles, as 'Kingsbere'. (Read more)
