Roughfort is a small village in County Antrim, within the townland of Craigarogan. At the 2001 it had a population of just 216.

Places of interest

  • Roughfort Motte (J27048400) is a scheduled monument. It is a mediæval mound and later was a site of assembly in the Irish Rebellion of 1798, for the United Irishmen under the command of Henry Joy McCracken before the Battle of Antrim on 7 June 1798.
