Llanwinio
Llanwinio is a parish in Carmarthenshire. It is divided into two sections-the Eastern Division and the Western Division. The population is 1,035; 422 in the Eastern and 613 in the Western Division.[1]
Llanwinio is three miles north of the hamlet of Gellywen, home of Ainon Baptist Church, built in 1828 and re-built in 1880.[1] [2]
Notable people
- The Baptist minister, author and hymn-writer Nathaniel Williams was born in Llanwinio in 1656 or 1657.[3]
