It is home to Strathglass Shinty Club, considered to be the oldest organised Shinty Club in the world.

For visitors, there is a Caravan Park, Chalet Park, The Slaters Arms (Dining and Luxury Cabins) and a well-stocked Spar store. There are many opportunities for Hill and Glen walking in the local area.
