About the village

The village has two four-star hotels (Hatton Court Hotel[1] and Bowden Hall Hotel[2]), and a Church of England parish Church,[3] a pub, a primary school, and a village hall.

The parish church, St Leonard's, is of the late 13th century, with a 15th century tower. It underwent enlargement in 1835 under the architect Thomas Fulljames, with further alterations in 1849, 1850 and 1889. It is a Grade II* listed building.[4]
