Oronsay is a tidal island in Loch Bracadale on the west coast of Skye in Inverness-shire. At low water the island is connected to Ullinish Point on Skye. Its name is a common one in the Hebrides: in Gaelic it is Orasaigh, and in Norse Örfirirsey, meaning simply "tidal island".
