Wind Fell is a mountain of 2,180 feet amongst the Ettrick Hills. Its summit is on the ridge which forms the watershed between the Tweed basin and Annandale and the border between Dumfriesshire to the south and west and Selkirkshire to the north.

Capel Fell, just forty-three feet taller, stands along the ridge to the northwest. The next summits along the ridge north-eastwards are Hopetoun Craig (2,073 feet) and Ettrick Pen, the highest of the range at 2,270 feet.
