The High Street of Presteigne, Radnorshire

Presteigne

Presteigne is the county town of Radnorshire, sitting in the west of the county on the south bank of the River Lugg, which forms the boundary with neighbouring Herefordshire. Despite standing on only a minor B-road, and with just a narrow country lane to cross the river, the town has assumed the title "Gateway to Wales".

The town has as its neighbours such towns as Kington and Knighton, as well as surrounding villages like Norton and Stapleton. (Read more)
