The Kinnel Water at Cauldholm Farm

The Kinnel Water is a river in Dumfriesshire which joins the Water of Ae at Templand.

The Kinnel Water rises amongst the Lowther Hills, on the slopes of Whiteside Hill. From here it flows southeast, and turns south as it reaches Annandale. The Kinnel does not however flow to the River Annan but runs parallel to it southwards.

The river passes St Ann's just before flowing beneath the A701, and accepting the waters of the Mollin Burn, continuing until it falls into the Water of Ae.
