Gilsay is a small, uninhabited island in the Sound of Harris between Harris to the north and North Uist to the south. It is in the eastern part of the sound, in a hazardous sea full of rocks and skerries, with its neighbours Groay and Lingay.
As with all the isles of the sound, Gilsay is within Inverness-shire.
