Boharm
Boharm is a parish in western Banffshire and eastern Morayshire. The greater part of 8,995 acres lies to the south-west in the former county with 7,947 acres to the north-east in the latter. It is bounded to the north by Bellie, to the east by Keith and Botriphnie, to the south by Mortlach, to the south-west by Aberlour and to the west by Rothes. It has an extreme length from north to south of 6¼ miles, or nine from the Burn of Forgie in the north-east to the south-east angle near Craigellachie and a width from east to west of from 3⅜ to 5 miles.
The A95 road from Keith to Craigellachie passes through the centre of the parish, briefly entering the Morayshire portion at Mulbern.
The Spey, 100 yards and more across, traces seven miles of the western, and the tributary Fiddich 2¼ of the southern and south-western boundaries. The chief stream of the interior is the Burn of Mulben, which flows 6¼ miles north-west to the Spey at Boat o' Brig, its westward course, flanked by the Highland railway, dividing the parish into two fairly equal halves. Strathspey here sinks from less than 300 to less than 200 feet above sea-level, but elsewhere the surface exceeds at all points 400 feet, the principal elevations in the southern half being Ben Aigan (1,544 feet), Knock More (1,167), and Knockan (1,219), in the northern, the Hill of Cairnty (606) and Thief's Hill (819).
