and Tristan da Cunha
Gough Island
Summit: 2,959 feet 40°18’7"S, 9°57’47"W

Edinburgh Peak is the highest mountain on Gough Island, an uninhabited isle of the Tristan da Cunha archipelago of St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha.

The hill rises to 2,959 feet and is the highest point of a ridge that runs in a roughly north-west / south-east direction in the central area of Gough Island.[1]

A slightly lower peak, named Expedition Peak, is close to it.[2]

The mountain is an extinct volcano which erupted about 2,400 years ago.[3][4]
