Dean Prior is a village in southern Devon, near the A38 road and near the town of Buckfastleigh.
Parish church
The parish church in Dean Prior is St George the Martyr.[1]
The seventeenth-century poet Robert Herrick was vicar here from 1629 to 1646 and after the Restoration from 1660 to 1674.[2] He is buried in an unmarked grave.
